Indiana University President Michael A. McRobbie presided over the dedication of Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall Oct. 14. The historic and venerable arena is named in honor of IU alumna Cindy Simon Skjodt, whose $40 million gift represents the largest gift in IU Athletics history.

The dedication also served as the official opening of the Mark Cuban Center for Sports Media and Technology. Made possible by a $5 million gift from IU alumnus Mark Cuban, the center is home to a first-of-its-kind, cutting-edge, student-focused video, broadcasting and technology center on the west side of Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall.

More details about renovations and amenities in the new Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall are available through the IU Athletics website.
